Scuba diving is a totally awesome sport. Until recently, only older kids and adults could do it. Not anymore! Now there's SCUBA RANGERS, a way cool scuba club for kids ages 8 to 12.
With SCUBA RANGERS, you can scuba dive in a pool with real diving equipment, play games under water, and other fun stuff.

HOW TO BECOME A SCUBA RANGER...
RED RANGER - Water safety techniques, swimming and snorkeling skills.
WHITE RANGER - Snorkel review and first time on scuba.
BLUE RANGER - More scuba skills and underwater photography.
SILVER RANGER - More scuba, fun and games.
DEMO RANGER - Demo Ranger is the highlight, because you proudly demonstrate your skills to parents, family, and friends.

SCUBA RANGER CLUB...
After Demo Ranger, you join our SCUBA RANGERS CLUB and the fun really begins. You attend club events, scuba dive in the pool, and try Ranger Specialties.

There's lots of awesome Ranger Specialties, such as Night Ranger, Equipment Ranger and Navigation Ranger. These involve learning new scuba skills and using cool stuff like cameras, underwater lights, and compasses.

Some Ranger Specialties do not involve diving. With Civics Ranger, for instance, you get rewards for community involvement and doing nice things for others.

The ultimate honor is Master Ranger, which is 15 Specialties, plus participation in five SCUBA RANGERS CLUB events.

EQUIPMENT...
So you can have more fun and be the best Ranger possible, you should own at least a mask, snorkel and fins designed for your size and age.

A personally-fitted kid's snorkeling system will make you dive like a fish. You'll stay nice and toasty in the pool if you also have a Ranger-sized wet suit.

GETTING SCUBA CERTIFIED ...
If you are 10 years old, you may be eligible to become a real certified diver and explore lakes and oceans. Ask Cathy, your Ranger Program Director about it.

WHO CAN BE A SCUBA RANGER?
SCUBA RANGERS is for any active kid ages 8 - 12. The children of divers and non-divers are equally welcome.

You must have basic swimming skills, be comfortable around the water, and in good health.

SCUBA RANGERS are expected to make a commitment to learning proper diving skills and following safe diving practices, and... to having fun!
