"When you finally see what goes
on underwater, you realize that you've been missing the
whole point of the ocean.
Staying on the surface is like going
to the circus and staring at the outside of the tent."

At The Scuba Shack, we're not embarrased by our prices.
Our prices are a great value for the training, services, equipment, and guarantees that we provide.
Our pricing information is posted here on our website and in all of our literature.
We question any dive shop that tries to hide their prices.
THE PRICE GAME...
There's a game that's being
played in the retail diving industry. Here, at The
Shack, we call it The Price Game. We don't know
how it happened, or why... whether it was some "Marketing
Guy" at one of the certifying agencies who thought
it might provide a competitive edge, or whether it's simply
that some dive shops don't believe that their fees are
fair or justified, or maybe, they just don't feel that
they give you your money's worth, but... somehow, they
think it's OK to play The Price Game with you. It happens
in every market that we've researched and it's going on...
Right Here In River City.
We're talking about the practice
of responding to direct questions with partial, incomplete
answers... Quoting prices that are less than the full cost
of certification... Leaving out the cost of "equipment
rental" for all or part of the certification process,
and even charging for some services that aren't performed.
At The Scuba Shack,
we won't do business that way.
We believe that knowingly
responding to direct questions with partial answers...
of not telling the whole story in an attempt to evade,
confuse, and deceive is... not only bad for business...
It's wrong!
Answering the simple direct
question "How much does it cost to get certified?" without
explaining ALL of the costs involved in certification...
including checkout dives and equipment rental fees... is
lying.
We're offended by deceitful
sales tactics and believe that you are, too. We believe
in treating people the way that we want to be treated and
that's how we conduct our business... simply, fairly, honestly.

THE HONESTY GAME...
At The Scuba Shack,
we believe in establishing long-term relationships with
our customers by being honest and "up-front"...
right from the start. Our fees are not only fair & reasonable,
